PORT BLAIR: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands were shrouded in mystery for centuries because of their inaccessibility. Shimmering like emeralds in the Bay of Bengal, the islands are a paragon of beauty and present a scenic and picturesque landscape. The dense forests which cover these islands and the innumerable exotic flowers and birds create a highly poetic and romantic atmosphere. Imagine white beaches on the edge of a meandering coastline, palm trees swaying to the rhythm of the sea, and beautiful coloured fish swimming in crystal clear waters. The beauty creates an infinite romantic impact.
Post a delicious lunch (on your own), proceed to Anthropological Museum and Naval Fisheries Museum(Closed on Mondays). This place depicts a peek into the way of life of the Paleolithic Islanders. It also houses the models of the aborigines and their tools. Next, visit Corbyn's Cove Beach – a serene and unspoiled soft sandy beach set in picturesque backgrounds of lush green coconut palms and pleasant sea. Later, witness the Light and Sound show at Cellular Jail – the saga of countless martyrs of Indian independence struggle who laid down their lives. The show is conducted every evening in the premises of Cellular Jail which gives us a brief idea about the happenings in the jail prior to independence.
Later in the evening, return to the hotel. and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Port Blair. Note - In case Day 1 of the itinerary falls on a Monday, Museum visits shall be conducted on Day 5.

Port Blair - Havelock by ferry (30 kilometres, 1.5 hours)
After a hearty breakfast, check-out from the hotel to visit Ross Island (closed on Wednesday). Alternatively. customers will also be taken to Cellular Jail and Samudrika Museum (both closed on Monday). Later, board the ferry for a journey to Havelock Island.
Ross Island: Famous for its friendly flocks of deer and lush green walking trails, this island is a peaceful destination. It now stands as a ruin of the bygone days with the old structures almost in debris.
On your return to the mainland, proceed to visit Cellular Jail, the colonial prison used by the British to incarcerate political prisoners and freedom fighters. Among other things, you can see the cell occupied by Veer Savarkar and the gallows where many freedom fighters were hanged to their deaths. Also, visit a small museum named Samudrika that holds photographs and other antiques of the British.
Havelock Island: Havelock Island is famous for its pristine beaches, coral reefs, and a relaxing holiday. It is one of the few inhabited islands of Andaman and Nicobar and is named after Mr. Henry Havelock, a British General who was based in India. Havelock Island was once home to the indigenous tribes who spoke Aka-Bale language. The tribal population of Havelock Island declined greatly during the era of colonisation of Andaman and Nicobar by the British. The original natives of Havelock Island are now extinct and the island is now occupied mostly by Bengali and Myanmar immigrants.
